Canoeing, kayaking and rafting from Entraygues

Entraygues owes its name to what it is: entre aygues, between the waters. The Lot and the Truyère meet here, and the village has lived off that confluence since the Middle Ages.

Organised descents

ASVOLT hires out canoes, kayaks and rafts in Entraygues and runs descents of various lengths, from an hour to a full day. Routes follow either the Lot or the Truyère depending on water levels and appetite. The start is a few minutes from the cottage.

The village also has a municipal swimming pool, open in summer.

A word of caution

The Truyère is a dammed river. Levels shift with water releases, and the current is not always yesterday’s. Ask the hire companies before a long outing. They know the river day by day.
