Booking

A booking becomes firm once we receive the signed contract together with a deposit of 25% of the total stay. After the deadline stated in the contract, the booking lapses and the dates are released.

This deposit takes the form of "arrhes" under French law: you may withdraw by forfeiting it, and we may withdraw by paying you twice its amount.

Balance and security deposit

The balance is paid when the keys are handed over. A security deposit of 30% of the rent is also collected on arrival and returned within one month of your departure.

Should any damage be found, that month allows us to assess it and justify any amount withheld, against a quote or invoice.

Payment methods

Arrival and departure

Check-in from 16:00, check-out before 11:00. Other times are possible with our prior agreement.

An inventory is carried out on arrival and departure, with both parties present. Without an arrival inventory, the property is presumed to have been received in good order.

Occupancy

The property sleeps 6 people at most. It may not be sublet or lent to third parties without our agreement.

Pets are accepted under conditions, by prior arrangement. They must be kept on a lead in the entrance courtyard, where two ducks live.

Cancellation by you

Cancellations must reach us by registered post, the date of receipt being authoritative. The deposit is refunded within thirty days, according to the scale below.

In a duly documented case of force majeure, the deposit is refunded in full whenever the cancellation occurs.

If you have not arrived within twenty-four hours of the agreed date without notifying us, the contract is terminated, the deposit remains ours, and the property is released.

Cancellation by us

If we cancel before your arrival, other than for force majeure, we pay you twice the deposit received plus statutory interest, within fifteen days.

Termination during the stay must be justified: non-payment, proven damage, or complaints from neighbours.

Insurance

You must be insured for the property entrusted to you. Check that your home insurance includes holiday-rental cover; if not, arrange it with your insurer. Proof, or a signed declaration, will be requested on arrival.

Tourist tax

The tourist tax is 4.4% of the nightly cost per person. Only adults are liable; under-18s are exempt. It is collected on behalf of the local authority and added to the price of the stay.
