No cookies, no trackers

This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and embeds no third-party service, no remote fonts, no maps, no social buttons. Your browsing is not recorded, analysed or shared.

That is also why you will never see a consent banner here: there is nothing to consent to.

Data collected

Only the booking request form collects data. You choose what you put in it:

• your name and email address (needed to reply to you);
• your phone number, if you provide it, it is optional;
• your requested dates and number of guests;
• the free-text message you write.

Purpose and legal basis

This data is used solely to handle your request and organise your stay. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual steps taken at your request (GDPR article 6.1.b).

It is never used for advertising, sold, or passed on to third parties.

Recipients

Your data is read by the people who manage the cottage. It passes through two technical providers: OVH SAS (2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France), which hosts the site in France, and Google, whose mail service delivers the request emails.

Retention

A request that leads nowhere is kept for three years from the last exchange, then deleted. Data relating to a stay that actually took place is kept for as long as accounting and tax obligations require.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. Simply write to lapauseriviere@gmail.com, no formalities.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. Requests travel over an encrypted connection and are accessible solely to the people managing the cottage.
